Arrival and Check-In

Arrival & Campsite Set-Up

Participants are shown around the campsite and encouraged to get oriented to our space. You'll be shown your camping spots where tents are pitched. You are not responsible for pitching your tent, but you can learn to do it with me if you want! Sleeping bags and pads are available for rent if needed. For those new to camping, assistance is available to set up your sleeping space in your tents.

Welcome & Ice Breakers

After tents and sleeping spots are set up, participants come together with Rachel and the team, where they're given a brief orientation, including campsite rules, schedule overview, and safety information. Participants start to get to know each other with fun icebreakers.

During the Retreat

Activities

The retreat features a variety of activities designed to promote wellness and connection to nature, like yoga, guided hikes, campfires, stargazing, meditation, and cooking on a camp stove. Your Guide to Thriving in the Great Outdoors

So my eureka moment for these retreats came to me while camping, Memorial Day weekend 2021. We were coming out of the pandemic, and my husband and I went camping really locally, no reservation needed. While I was there, and thinking and enjoying the outdoors, I just had this epiphany that maybe there were women who would love to go camping, but some reason there was a barrier to them doing it. Maybe they didn't feel comfortable going with co-ed groups; maybe they had gone as a kid but not as an adult; maybe their partner wasn't interested, or they don't have a partner. Maybe they love it, but it's a lot of work to have all the equipment and do all the planning and all that goes into it?

And I thought, I love it, and I'm an expert at it, so maybe I should create these camping retreats specifically for women. And now here we are and what a thrill it's been to bring the joy of camping to the amazing women who attend. My life is so much richer for getting to know them too!

What Participants Say...

"I truly enjoyed the Women’s camping retreat in March! Not only was the place beautiful, but everyone who attended was so friendly and fun. We had a great time out hiking and just relaxing around the campsite. Rachel was very prepared and had everything perfectly organized and the food was awesome! Can’t wait for the next one."

Frequently Asked Questions

Pefect! This retreat is designed just for people like you. My goal in creating these retreats was to open the door to tent camping to women who wanted to camp but faced barriers, whether it was inexperience, lack of partner, or the amount of time and effort involved in planning a trip on your own.

Answer: Absolutely! These retreats are for anyone who want to connect to nature. We’ll tackle those shy feelings together and help you find your inner boldness if that's what you're looking for. You'll also never feel pressured to be other than who you are.

Answer: My whole focus is on making camping as enjoyable as possible. That means sharing with you the best clothes to bring, picking locations that are close to civilization, and allowing every person the freedom to connect with nature in ways that feel good to them.

Answer: That’s a common worry. It's brave of anyone to decide to attend the first time, whether you don't know anyone else coming, have no experience camping, or even just because it makes you nervous. I'm passionate about camping because I know its for everyone and no matter what, being outdoors among like-minded people is a safe and nurturing space for us all.

Answer: While it's in your best interest to attend the informational zoom as well as the participant zoom, I understand that folks have other commitments that can get in the way sometimes. Both sessions are therefore recorded and available to view after the fact.

Find Your Connection. Feel the Transformation. Embrace Your Empowered Life.

Leave behind the noise and chaos. Welcome the peace, adventure, and clarity that come with reconnecting to nature and yourself.
